Ancient Egypt 231209 Serie

A modern homage to the timeless beauty and symbolism of ancient Egypt.

In luminous layers of orange, red and gold, queens and pharaohs appear reinterpreted – as symbols of power, spirituality and the immortality of the spirit.

The series “Ancient Egypt 231209” consists of three handmade mixed-media works on paper (each 30 × 40 cm), created in 2023.

Using acrylic and spray paints, iconic portraits of ancient Egyptian rulers are reinterpreted—Nefertiti, a pharaoh, and an Egyptian queen—reimagined in a modern, almost urban style.

The fiery colors—orange, red, and gold—symbolize the sun, energy, and rebirth. Black, clean lines evoke hieroglyphs and sacred murals, while the sprayed texture bridges contemporary street art.

Each motif represents strength, dignity, and divine connection—an artistic meditation on the power of the spirit to transcend time.
